New Poll: 68% Don't Want Higher Fuel Tax

A new poll says a majority of Iowans don't want to pay a higher fuel tax. The Des Moines Register poll has 68% of those surveyed opposed to raising the tax by 8-to-10-cents/gallon, even though the money would go to pay for road and bridge repairs. Although there's been a bipartisan efforts to move the bill forward, some in the GOP are saying this is against their 2010 campaign theme: no new taxes.
