Johnston Schools Want to Add an Elementary Building

Johnston School District is investigating the addition of a sixth elementary school, within two years. At a work session, last week, administrators learned there’s some debate over whether a school planned for the Crosshaven development on the north side of town has enough support to pass. Some board members say they want to learn more about other options, like using Johnston Middle School, which may be vacated by then.
