Republicans have filed an official complaint about the Polk County redistricting plan, saying it favors incumbent Democrats. The protest was filed with the Iowa Secretary of State. The new map sent to the state puts two incumbent Republican supervisors in the same district, so Robert Brownell of Clive and EJ Giovannetti of Urbandale would have to run against each other.
