State officials want your thoughts on a plan for rail service between Chicago, Des Moines, and Omaha. There's an on line open house next Monday: www.iowadot.gov/chicagotoomaha. There'll be information available on potential routes, evaluating service levels and ridership, environmental impacts and a preferred Chicago to Omaha passenger rail route alternative.
