The State Health Department's appealing a Polk County Judge's order that they list both members of a same-sex marriage as parents of a now 2-year old child. A spokesperson says the ruling addressed kids born to a lesbian mom who conceived using an anonymous sperm donor, but it doesn't resolve cases of same-sex couples who conceive in other ways. KCCI reports they need the State Supreme Court's guidance on those other cases.
