The U.S. Small Business Administration's declared a disaster for Iowa due to tornadoes and severe storms that hit April 9th and 10th. This means low interest disaster loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners and renters are eligible for up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property. Businesses and private, non-profit organizations can borrow up to $2 million, and that also cover equipment and inventory.
