If you don't get in the habit of slowing down on Interstate 235 and making sure you stop when the light turns red at intersections around Des Moines, life may get more expensive. Because what the cops don't see, the cameras will. New red light cameras are going up at five intersections and two speed cameras will be installed. One on Interstate 235 and one mobile, to go wherever it's needed on a complaint basis. Red light tickets will be 65 dollars, speeding tickets will depend on how fast you were going.
