The Johnston Partnership for a Healthy Community, Johnston school district and Polk County Substance Abuse and Addictions Workgroup are sponsoring a town hall meeting at the Johnston Middle School media center, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 9, to talk about underage drinking. The Des Moines Register reports the goal's to get parents and kids talking about underage and binge drinking; plus ways to prevent young people from getting involved in risky behavior.
