A State House sub-committee's approved a bill that effectively bans all abortions in Iowa. The legislation defines life as beginning at the moment of conception, and protects it from that point on. KCCI reports opponents say this would rule out many forms of contraception and could have unintended consequences. Planned Parenthood of the Heartland says this is all about getting to the U.S. Supreme court to challenge Roe vs. Wade.
